The U.S. government is withdrawing from the scandal-plagued @UNESCO, the disgraced UN agency run by communists and New Agers seeking to takeover education worldwide for globalism. Congrats to @realDonaldTrump, @SecRubio, @StateDept, etc. Now, time to end its influence. pic.twitter.com/zM1MzSF2XD

UNESCO, the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization, was founded in 1945 to promote peace through education, science, culture, and communication. However, it has devolved into a politicized bureaucracy plagued by scandals, anti-Western biases, and wasteful agendas that undermine its mission, making it a horrible entity unworthy of U.S. support.
One of UNESCO’s most egregious scandals is its obsessive anti-Israel bias. Between 2009 and 2017, it adopted 60 resolutions condemning Israel, far outpacing those on other conflicts, often designating Jewish holy sites as “Palestinian World Heritage” and labeling Israel as an “occupier” without criticizing Palestinian terrorism like Hamas. This echoes broader anti-Semitism, including resolutions ignoring Jewish ties to Jerusalem.
Additionally, UNESCO has been accused of complicity in human rights abuses, such as supporting the eviction and abuse of Indigenous peoples in African World Heritage sites like Odzala-Kokoua National Park in Congo, where locals face violence under conservation pretexts.
Its pro-China tilt is another horror: As the second-largest funder, Beijing influences leadership, with officials like Deputy Director-General Xing Qu downplaying Uyghur cultural genocide and promoting standards favorable to the Communist Party.
It’s many scandals include the controversial UNESCO-Obiang Prize, funded by Equatorial Guinea’s dictator Teodoro Obiang amid corruption allegations, which was eventually suspended after global outcry.
Internal corruption under UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres has further eroded trust, with fraud and mismanagement rampant.
UNESCO’s “woke” DEI policies exacerbate its irrelevance, pushing anti-racism toolkits that demand equity over merit and initiatives like “Transforming MEN’talities” to reshape gender norms in India and video games for “antidiscriminatory behaviors.” These divisive causes clash with American values.
President Trump is absolutely right to pull the U.S. out, prioritizing “America First.” This mirrors his 2017 withdrawal and Reagan’s 1983 exit over politicization and hostility to free markets. Biden’s 2023 rejoining, repaying $600 million in dues, only empowered China. Withdrawal curbs anti-Israel rhetoric, counters Beijing’s sway, and saves taxpayer dollars from funding bias.
UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay commented, “We deeply regret the U.S. decision to withdraw but the agency has prepared for it.” This tepid response underscores UNESCO’s detachment from accountability for being a corrupt, biased organization. Trump’s move safeguards U.S. interests and exposes globalist failures.
Every time UNESCO organized an event dedicated to Azerbaijan, 20 0000 € were transferred from Baku to the bank account of Kalin Mitrov, the husband of the gen. director of the organisation.
